Film · Thriller
Inspired by a real event, the film examines the psychological aftermath of abduction and the identities we construct to survive trauma. This film was shot over 18 months with the actors living inside the production, to which a story with soul was born.
Amaris lives inside a fractured inner world where memory and identity blurs together. She awakens chained within a cage. Her mind rebuilds the past through distorted landscapes and recurring visions of her childhood abduction, each revealing one of the film’s core motifs; the three masks we wear - the public face, the intimate face, and the hidden face. Stripped of her physical voice, Amaris narrates through a spiralling interior monologue as a masked figure stalks her memories, conscience and self‑doubt. Amaris becomes obsessed with finding Lila - the girl who once saved her and may hold the key to thawing her emotional numbness. The film follows Amaris’s descent and reconstruction as she confronts the truth her subconscious awareness buried to in self preservation. Her search for Lila becomes a fight to reclaim feeling, language and identity.
